New works from creators of Gash Bell/Zatch Bell, Minami-ke, Zetsubō, Toradora!
The Japanese publisher Kodansha has begun posting nine manga titles from the premiere Bessatsu Shonen Magazine issue for free on Friday. The free postings marks the day that the second issue ships in Japan. The nine titles include Dōbutsu no Kuni, the new manga from Konjiki no Gash Bell!!/Zatch Bell creator Makoto Raiku. The other titles posted online are:
* Sonna Mirai wa Uso de Aru (That Future is a Lie) supernatural fantasy by Coharu Sakuraba (Minami-ke, Kyo no Gononi/Today in Class 5-2)
* Joshiraku by Kôji Kumeta (Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei) and Yasu (Toradora!)
* Aku no Hana “pure-love romantic comedy” by Shūzō Oshimi (Hyōryū Net Cafe)
* Puapua? four-panel manga by Tohiro Konno (Pugyuru)
* Vanilla Spider by Yōichi Abe
* Roman Sanjūsō by Awa-Hako
* Shingeki no Kyojin by Ken Isayama
* Chōjin Gakuen by Yōsuke Ishizawa
Although not posted online, the second 700-page magazine issue features Yoshitaka Ōima’s manga adaptation of Mardock Scramble — the same science-fiction action novel by Tow Ubukata (Le Chevalier d’Eon, Heroic Age) that Gonzo was planning to adapt into anime before canceling the project.
