Phil Miller has announced the availability of the third alpha build of the inaugural release of Chakra, a user-friendly distribution and live CD based on Arch Linux: “Today we are pleased to announce the release of Alpha 3 (Test) of the Chakra live CD. It contains a big amount of fixed bugs and polishing, which has been done all over the place. There is also a slew of new features like improved hardware detection, an auto-updater called ‘chase’, updated ‘shaman’, and a brand new USB image to allow installation without wasting a CD.
