To me project wonderful is like the child of ebay and google ads or some thing like that. My basic understanding is as a publisher you offer ad space on your site and advertiser can bid to use that ad space and you earn money based on how much they bid. If you do not change the minimum bid on your ad space it starts out at 0, which for the blog I left it at that do to not having that much traffic on the blog.  For the database and otaku play ground I did set them to a minimum of 0.01 and I am getting advertisers so looks like I made the right choice. I am not sure if clicks help but would assume that if one of the visitors to the site clicks it helps encourage advertisers to bid higher. At least that is what I would think as if I was an advertiser and had my ads on a site I would want clicks and would pay more if I got clicks. So ya that part is different that google as on google you only get money if the ads are clicked on.

Not sure how my members are handling the ads as no one has said any thing yet about them.  I am thinking not to badly as I do have to approve all ads and I only approve those that are E rated, project wonderful calls it C rated. Which is safe for work and safe for children. I know that if I put google ads on otaku play ground I would have members upset do to the way google ads works. I mean some people do not like them as they see them as spyware. Me personally I do not think of google ads that way but do think of double click ad as spyware as spybot and other spyware removers see it as such. So ya I would never put double click ads on my site. I did have ads before that were paid ads. But worked differently. They were basically affiliate ads that I got from my host. The only way I earned money on those was if some one purchased from them.

So far I do like project wonderful and may even use it to get some free ads out there for my sites. I will just look for the ad spaces that are still at 0 and bid on them. I just need to create some ads and away I go.

So now that the list is done I have been adding more info to each anime. This part took a while to get started as I kept changing how I was adding the data and even displaying the data on the page. Now that I have all the kinks worked out I am getting as many done as I can. Up to 15 done so far with the added data.

After this stage is done then I will start adding pages for voice actors and links to the anime they are in. Same with companies and staff. This will added better navigation. I may do this part while doing the other part but need to work out the best way of doing it.

Recently I bought 3 different insoles 2 Dr Scholl’s and one a generic one that said it was the equivalent of the Dr Scholls messaging Gel.  The 2 Dr Scholl’s insoles I bought were the memory foam and the messaging gel. I do like the memory foam the best and has the best comfort although do feel a bit to firm under the heel but other then that they are great. The messaging gel insoles have a heel issue as well as they have a plastic circle just under the heel and I can feel the edges of that on the bottom of my heel so can be a bit annoying. The generic messaging gel insoles did not have the plastic ring and were surprisingly more comfortable then the Dr Scholls ones, the fabric over top of the gel even seemed softer to the touch.

I will probably continue to buy the memory foam ones though as they were the best out of all the ones I tried.

Now the issue above I will admit was my fault how ever this next issue was onlineshoes.com’s fault. First the second order that I placed did go much farther then the first order as the paypal transaction was authenticated this time and the money was removed from paypal.  How ever where is were they made a mistake. They went to cancel the first order, the order it self was canceled how ever they canceled the wrong paypal transaction so the money showed back up in my paypal. I contacted them and I did not get a replay at least not that day but it was late at night so was not expecting any thing until the next day. I was expecting them to tell me to order it again. The next day however I got an email from them that stated the shoes had been shipping. I was like wait you do not even have my money but they shipped it.  I was still expecting them to tell me to place another order and this time let the paypal transaction go through and cancel the order it self so that they have the money for the order that was shipped. That is not what happened though. They contacted me about the payment issue and wanted me to pay using a different payment type.

I was a bit upset at that point and just told them I would place the same order with shoebuy.com and give up on them. after several hours of talking with them they got ups to redirect the shipment back to them. At that point I did place the same order with shoebuy.com. I did not have any issues with shoebuy.com but the shoes did not fit, they were to narrow in the area the last post mentions. So sent them back. Shoebuy handled it very well and did live up to having free shipping both directions. After I got the refund from them I thought about ordering a larger shoe from them but after some of my friends heard about my issue with onlineshoes.com they told me to try zappos.com so placed an order with zappos.com and boy was that a awesome experience.  They did the same athentication thing onlineshoes did but they had it done with in 15 minutes. Which surprised me and it even surprised me more that it was shipped the same day I ordered them. The biggest surprise was they got here 2 days later, not the 5 days shoebuy.com took. So needless to say I might be shopping with zappos.com again.

To get to the running part you see in the title. I had stepped out side to go get some thing and thought I would just run and go get it as it was just on the other side of town. Not really sure what I was going to go get but it was needed for the house that much I do know. Any way I took off running but ran to fast, really fast.

I went so fast I was in a location I had never seen before. At first I thought I was in the bad part of town as I did not think I had ran as fast as I did. I saw a few people that looked different. They had silver skin with leopard like spots, that were a gray. The silver parts were shinny and looked like fur and the gray spots were not shinny but also looked like fur.  I had commented to them about the silver fur and they said it was a type of spay paint that they paint them selves with so they offered to spray me with some. I let them spray my arm and it did not stick it just came right off. Talked with them for a little bit and then tried to find my way back home. While walking I saw a house with a lot of children around it, one of the little girls came up to me and started talking to me. She asked me where I was from and many other questions. After talking with her for a while I felt hungry and had asked the girl if she knew of any place to eat around here so told me they have enough food and I can eat with them as they were getting ready to have supper.

I went in the house with the little girl and met the family. I found out it was a  orphanage and had a lot of children. It kind of looked a bit run down and the really sad thing was there was a girl there that could not have been over 12 that looked pregnant, very sad looking place. I felt a bit odd and bad to take food away from them so I left and continued to try and get home.

While walking I met one of my friends from high school and we talked for a while and I found out were I was and I was far from home. I was in a place called Neow and I was told it was on the border of Idaho and Iowa.. Yep I know those to do not have touching boarders but in my dream they did. My friend had told me there is a train that should be able to take me home so I got a ticket and hopped on. My friend had gone with me. He was very kind and even paid for my ticket as I could not find where I put my purse. I took the train clear home which took several hours so I was indeed far from home. After making it home I woke up and of course tried to remember the dream so I could post it here. Hope you enjoyed my strange dream.

It had funny parts as well as some very moving parts. Not going to give to much away as I do not want to spoil any thing for any one that has not seen it yet. It is based on the little mermaid so has some parallels to it but not many. I can probably mention this with out it spoiling it but the parallel is that a fish girl turns into a human. That does not spoil any things as it was mentioned in a few of the ads. Unlike the little mermaid she does not look like a mermaid she looks kind of like a red jelly fish with a human face. I give it a 5 our of 5 stars.

Shortly after my dad yelled at me there was an alarm that went off to let every one know there was some emergency that needed a super hero. I got excited and wanted to go but was told I was to young and was locked in the play room with guards guarding the doors. There was only one other person in there, a young girl about my age, at least the age I was in the dream. Which I think was any where from 7 to 12. We played dolls and other girly games for a while until I cut my self on some thing. Just a small cut on my finger like the size of a paper cut. The little girl that I was with helped me clean it up and put a bandage on it. After that we decided to sneak out through the bathroom window.  We got out and ran toward where the emergency was . We got to my parents car, my mother asked what are you doing here, you should be back home. I said I came to help with the emergency. She said it is being handled. Then I heard one of the super heroes yell saying he was giving up as he could not hold it back any more.  It looked as if they were trying to hold back a hurricane or tornado from hitting the oil spill in the golf or at least that is what it looked like they were doing. I yelled no you can not give up. I remember yelling it several times and then getting tired for some reason and felling a sleep on my mother’s lap in the front seat of the car.

Usually when I fall a sleep in a dream I wake up, however this time I switched to the little girl I was playing with in the play room. When I switched to her I saw a car pull up behind us, that had the guards that were guarding us in it. They were frantic and saying Amy excepted. As that other girl I yelled back at the guards saying she is safe she is right here and pointed at me sleeping on my mother’s lap.  After that as the other girl I realized I had powers, all the same ones I had as me. So I went off and saved the day. After that I woke up.

Before watching the movie I thought about how he ages back words and also trying to remember what was in the ads / trailers with out actually watching one or more of the trailers. I did remember that he had a romantic relationship that became a full relationship when they both became of the same age or close to the same age. I think the ad mentioned that as meeting in the middle.  One of the thinks I was thinking is how does his life start if he starts out as an old man. I was thinking does he just pop into existence or is he actually born. If he is actually born is he full grown, which sounds very painful for the mother or is he born a baby that looks old. I did find the answer to that by watching the movie and they actually did a good job on making a baby look old. Oh and ya that is not a spoiler as it is in the trailer which I did watch after I watched the movie.  A few other things I was thinking is how far does he age backwards, like does he go clear back to being a baby or does he get to the point where he can not longer age backwards and just dies.  I was thinking that because order to become a baby he would have to start shrinking so the extra mass would have to go some where. I was also thinking of a Star Trek episode where some one had age backwards and he was not able to go younger then a teenager because of the body mass issue. This is not answered in the trailers that I saw so will let you watch it to find the answer but I do like the way they did it.

Over all I enjoyed the movie and thought it was done very well. It felt true to life.  I mean it felt as if it was some thing that really happened even though it was fictional.  The emotions felt reel. The actions of the actors felt real.  The backwards aging process was done very well and I liked how it was a slow process with subtle changes that looked correct. I also like how the story was played out and how the romance was done.  I loved the movie and would recommend seeing it if you have not seen it yet.

I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

There is another movie that is more suited to being the prequel to the martix and that is the movie called Irobot. That movie flows nicely with the animatrix and seems to be a more detailed telling of the first part of the second renaissance.  There are others who agree with me on that.

I wonder if any other movies could be a prequel to the matrix, might have to look and make a blog post bout them as well.

Between the 2 animes they do have some other similarities like the opening song sounds a lot a like but yet is different.  They both have Gorinova, not sure of the spelling on that but in slayers it is a sward and in slayers it is a ship, a lost ship.  Lost ships are like the Gods or demons of slayers, with the exception of one being a good one.

lost universe has a lot of action  and a very good story line. To bad they stopped making it as I really got into it and would love to see more I do also think the same about slayers though as they are both very good anime.

Box set that I got from target.

The past month or so I have been seeing a lot of ads for the V series. I mean a lot of ads on varies web sites I go to.  So many so I went looking to see if I could buy the V series and found a remastered dvd box set of the mid 1980′s V series.  I thought this must be what they are advertising for as it was the only V series I could find. I added it to my watched list on ebay which I use as a wish list type thing, as I have watched items that ended a long time ago.  Any way 2 weeks ago during my vacation I found the remastered dvd box set of the mid 1980′s version at Target so ended up getting it.

The past few days I have been watching the dvds in the box set I got and found the first few episodes a bit boring but did start getting into it after a while and found it very interesting to watch. I had talked about the V series with a few friends on varies sites and even facebook. Most people I talked to had not seen it or even the ads I had been seeing.

New V series on ABC.

Now here why I said confusion in the title.  Yesterday (March 30th 2010) I saw a new ad for V this time it said returning to abc 10/9c so I quickly set an alarm on my phone so I would not forget to watch it as I had been thinking while watching the old version it would be awesome if they brought it back.  I mentioned it to 2 of my friends on facebook. For some reason I said it different to both. One of my friends I said: They are making a new series of V and it starts tonight at 9. The other one I said are you going to be watching v tonight or some thing along those lines. The one that I asked if he was going to watch it was the only one that replied and said he was going to watch it tomorrow on hulu. Any way when the series came on it confused me by saying “Last time on V” I was like wait a minute this is supposed to be the return of V, Then I thought maybe it was one of them 2 day specials and I missed the first day. So I talked to my friend on facebook saying I had missed part of the return of V. He said it was on hulu so I brought hulu up and found 5 entries for V. I was utterly confused and talked to my friend again and he had mentioned they made the new series of V several months ago and made 4 episodes and then canceled it and tonight, which was yesterday being the day they brought back the new series. So to catch up I ended up watching the first 4 on hulu last night as I did not want to miss them specially that it was mentioned on hulu that they were going to remove them after March 30th.  Kind of thinking in my head well gee they should have given me more time to catch up as I knew nothing about the remake until yesterday.

I did very much enjoy the new V series and found it much better then the original that I purchased at Target. There are a few differences.  The main one being that the V’s do not have to wear sun glasses or goggles to protect their eyes from the bright light that I was told they do not like. Another difference is the head V in the original series is called Dianna and in the new she is called Anna.  Another huge difference is in the original all V’s wear the red uniforms and in the new series they wear what humans were.  A few things I do not know yet is do the V’s in this new series eat humans like they did in the original, it has not been brought up yet.  It does look as if they will still have the star child though, which is a hybrid of a human and V. They also still have a resistance movement but done more realistic.  Actually the whole series seems more realistic then the original.

Another movie also in that 100 dvds I got was In a dark place. This movie was a lot like the movie first born, it actually felt a lot like the same movie. Only a few differences. Instead of 1 child it had 2 and these kids were not hers but kids she was baby sitting.  In both movies the main character goes nuts for one reason or another or actually many reasons that are pointed out in the movie. The ending had the same sort of surprise but done a little different.  This one also did not have all that great of reviews on imdb.com.  No time loops in this one though but it did have ghosts. Although they may have been in the girls head who was playing the baby sitter as no one else sees the ghosts.

The third movie on the list of bad movies is Petrified.  This movie should have been a horror but it was done very badly in my opinion. It had a mummy in it but was done so poorly you could see he was wearing a mask. It felt like a very old low to no budget film but with modern technology as it was actually made around 2006. I had to look up reviews about this one as well and it also had bad reviews even worse then the other 2 movies.  The story line if it even had one was not all that great.  It kind of felt like it was mixing a mummy movie with a mad scientist movie as they had 2 separate things going on.

I only had a few issues with them but the issues were all worked out. The first issue was a request order that I made was not able to be filled after I ordered so they gave me a credit on my account for the amount of those dvds. Which was nice of them. I am glad they told me right away and let me know they would not be able to get that anime any more as it is no longer produced.  I would have been upset if they did not tell me so I am happy with the end result of that.  OH and I used that credit to get a few other anime I wanted.

Another issue was one anime I ordered and the only one I ordered that was not a request.  After I ordered it they did tell me they had to wait a month or 2 to get more ins stock, which was no problem.  How ever the issue was it was longer then 2 months and I was starting to get worried. So I probably annoyed them more then I should have to find out what was going on.  They were able to get more in stock and shipped it out right away so overall I am happy with that.  Oh and they did apologize for that wait and sent a free gift with that order, just a small one but it was nice of them.

Any way I do plan on buying more from them but at this time I am broke so will need to wait until I have a few things paid off before I buy any more.

This time it was not anime I was buying it was an ab work out book that I had found a lot of info about when I was looking up ways to reduce my stomach size.  The book I had found is called “truth about abs” which is found at truthaboutabs.com. It looked like it would actually work specially looking at all the free things they had a on the site. When looking at the site it did not appear to me they accepted paypal so went on ebay to see if maybe some one was selling the “Truth about abs” book. I did find a few sellers and one seller was selling it for 3.50, which I thought wow good price and it even came with 3 free gifts.

I went ahead and ordered it and was I was sent the ebook via email. How ever I did not get the 3 free gifts so I sent the seller an email about it and he had showed me where to go to get the 3 free gift.  Now this is the part that really upset me. The link took me to truthaboutabs.com and to the section that I had already downloaded from before I even went to ebay.

Needless to say I rated him badly in my feedback as in my opinion he was not offering free gifts with the order of the ebook.  To me what he did is like selling an item with a free gmail, hotmail, yahoo, aim, or facebook account.  Or even selling an item with free air, I mean the air you breath every day. Or maybe even like selling an item and saying free email from ebay letting you know you won.  Or even selling an item with free sun light from the sun. OK ok I am done now.

I ended up watching this in only 2 days, well the first season any way.  I just could not stop watching it, I enjoyed it very much. It has humour very much like the humour in slayers which in my opinion makes it better.  Even though it has humour like that of slayers it is nothing like that anime. Although another interesting thing about comparing it to slayers is there is a part in Melancholy where some one says It is classified and said in the same way that the demon of slayers says it is a secret.

I do not wish to give to much away but it does have a lot of interesting things that happen in it. It has time travel, aliens, androids, girls in bunny suits, people  with ESP, and a godess that does not even know she is a godess.  Oh and when I first heard about this anime I thought it was one that was made for girls which is called shoujo, how ever I found it not to be shoujo but rather shounen which is for boys.  Watching this anime though I feel it is not made for either male or female but both. I mean it does not feel to me it was made exclusively for males as I liked it and I am female, heck and I was told about it from a girl who also likes it. Oh there are a few characters I feel sorry for because haruhi treats them.

A few more differences between the OVA + Movies and the Original series is Lina’s companion if you can call her that. Her companion is very under dressed sorceress named Naga.  Naga has a very annoying laugh, which is mentioend as being annoying in a few of the OVA’s and Movies.  Her laugh reminds me of the voice of Fran Dresche’s voice from the show called the Nanny although I c oulc not watch The Nanny because unlike Naga’s voice Fran’s Voice made my ears hurt. Another view on her voice is like trying to listen to nails on a chalk board.

I will admit the OVA + Movies were much more comedy  based then the original series making it a whole lot more funny. There was one of the movies that was so funny I about fell out of my chair laughing. It was the movie called Slayers Great. It was both cute and funny and I enjoyed that one the most out of all of them.

Unlike the original series you can watch this out of order. What happens in one does not effect what happens in the other. I did how ever watch them in order.  Do to the name of the last OVA show I thought it was about Lina getting the outfit she wears in the Original series proving that it takes place before the Series how ever I think I was wrong but would have been neat if it was.

I did find out after seeing both the first 3 of the original series, OVA and movies that there is still one more out there called the lost universe. How ever I am not yet able to find that one for sale but just happened to find it while looking for the picture for this review.  I am hopping to find that last series and watch it and also make a review of it.

I do think over all that the Original was better even though this was more funny. I give both 4 out of 5 stars.

I started watching the first season a few weeks ago in my spare time and I just kept getting pulled in and watching to keep watcvhing it even though I needed to get a few things done. Like the anime database that I have been working on or even working on this blog.  The Slayers has all kinds of content both comedy and action and even adventure.  You never really know what will happen next, which is what I like. It is hard to tell some times who the bad guys are and who the good guys are and some times finding out can be a surprise and that is some thing hapening tell the very end.  I enjoyed the ending of all 3 seasons and I have to say they had a good story line for each.  On the second season they had a cheractor that sounded and acted just like the lady on pokemon that is on team rocket which was both funny and strange at the same time.  the series had dragons, monsters, demons, Gods and so many other creatures it just kept you entertained and guessing on what you would see next.  One of the episodes in the last season reminded me of another anime called Abenobashi, which kind of confused me but was pretty funny.

I can not wait to start watching the movies and the ova versions which I will be doing soon.
