Last week I was searching ebay for box sets of anime as I wanted to get some new anime. I found several that were in my price range and that looked interesting to watch. I ended up getting KASHIMASHI Girl Meets Girl. Entire Series DVD BOX, Tokyo Mew Mew Complete Set, KALEIDO STAR new wings dvd true collection NEW box set, KALEIDO STAR amazing collection dvd box set,
Peach Girl – The Complete Box Set , and Blue Gender – The Complete Series DVD Box Set.

KASHIMASHI Girl Meets Girl is one I bought with out reading the description the cover that was on ebay made it looked very cute so that is why I got it and actually why I got most of the dvd’s listed above. Although after ordering it I talked to a few people on twitter and other sites and got a bit embarrassed when I found out it was a yuri and not just a romance love story like I was thinking. Although thinking about it I guess I should have guessed it was a yuri by the name.  It is about a girl and a boy that fell in love but the boy gets turned into a girl but the love between them continues.

I went ahead and started watching it and it is romantic and heart warming. I have only seen the first 3 episodes and part of the 4th so far but thought I would write a blog entry for what I think so far. This may be a spoiler so just keep that in mind as I do not wish to spoil it for any one that may want to watch it.

The first episode starts out with Hazumu and Yazuna and it shows how they fall in love but when Hazumu asks Yazuma out she turns him down. He was saddened and ran away and went to were they met, which was a garden in the middle of a forest. He wandered out farther then that and while he was wandering around a space ship, an alien space ship crashed into him. The aliens took what was left of him aboard and put him back to gather how ever when they did so they made him into a female.

My own thoughts on why they may have made him into a female specially a genetic female is he may have always been genetically female. I mean he was physically a male but I have seen medical shows where some one is physically male while genetically female or even physically female and genetically male. the last one seems to be more common from what I have seen on medical shows how ever. Any way in watching this anime It makes me think he was always supposed to be female. He acted female and even in the 4th episode he says while yazuna was holding a dress she was giving him. He said he always wanted a dress like that. It was a very pretty dress with flowers on it. He did look very pretty in it and he does not even mind being turned into a girl as he says he is still him despite looking different.

There are parts of this anime that actually made me cry and the yazuna reminds me of me. Specially when she explains why she turned down hazumu. She explained she was scared but she does love him and still does in spite of him now being female. To get back into how she reminds me of me is I have turned guys down do to being scared and yes I was in love with them. I do not wish to hurt their feelings and neither did yasuna in this anime as she felt bad for thinking she hurt Hazumu’s feelings.

There is a part in this anime that reminds me of the anime called ranma and thats Hazumu’s father, Hazumu’s father is one of them perverted guys like the grandpa on ranma. That is one of the humor part of this anime but I honestly think they could have left it out as like some one on a forum I saw about this anime it can ruin it having to much perverted stuff in it.

In spite of this being yuri, I am enjoying watching it.
