New kernel, new package format, new python

Every single package has been at least re-packed, majority modified/updated. Interface updated along with kernel, python, packaging system which is now txz-based and due to higher compression the main release contains much more than previously: OpenOffice and Java, as well as many other applications now fit on a single CD.
Pcmanfm and rox have both been modified to seamlessly work with the TXZ package archives as well as the new “Add/Remove Programs” item in root menu. New volume control (now in system tray, sleeker.) New theme, more complete file type handling.

MoLinux • 5.0-beta1

LIBERACIÓN DE MOLINUX 5.0 BETA1. COMIENZA LA FASE DE PRUEBAS.

Comienza la fase de pruebas de la futura Molinux 5.0, cuya versión final será publicada el día 19 de Junio.

Esta versión cuenta con numerosas mejoras en cuanto a compatibilidad de hardware y nuevos programas añadidos, como por ejemplo Tucan (Gestor de descargas), Web Content Control (Aplicación de control parental), Gru (Asistente para la recuperación del menú de arranque Grub), Gnome Control Center (Centro de Control) y otras. Además incorpora un diseño gráfico más actual, un nuevo tema de iconos y versiones más recientes y mejor soportadas en todas las aplicaciones incluidas anteriormente.

Tenéis a vuestra disposición un sistema de seguimiento de errores bugs.molinux.info en el que os animamos a participar para comentarnos todos los fallos que encontréis en esta distribución Beta de Molinux.
