I loved this anime, and give it 5 out of 5 stars. This anime I bought from otaku mitsukai because one site I read said lost universe was part of the slayers series. I had to find out for sure as the description of lost universe did not seem to mention that it was part of slayers. I know now that it is not part of the layers but does have some things that are like slayers. It is made by the same writers and was made around the same time. To me it seems like far into the future and slayers is in the past. The main character on lost universe does look a lot like Lina inverse from slayers and they could be brother and sister. His name is Kane Blueriver and does have some commonalities to Lina Inverse but they are different. I just included a picture of both in this post. I could not find better pictures but I think you might see what I am talking about.
Between the 2 animes they do have some other similarities like the opening song sounds a lot a like but yet is different. They both have Gorinova, not sure of the spelling on that but in slayers it is a sward and in slayers it is a ship, a lost ship. Lost ships are like the Gods or demons of slayers, with the exception of one being a good one.
lost universe has a lot of action and a very good story line. To bad they stopped making it as I really got into it and would love to see more I do also think the same about slayers though as they are both very good anime.
