Marmalade Boy’s Yoshizumi Launches Chitose etc. Manga

Also in Margaret mag: end of Yukimori’s Ōji-sama Hiroimashita, Ōtani’s Fine!

kanto2This year’s 18th issue of Shueisha’s Margaret shōjo magazine announced on August 20 that Marmalade Boy creator Wataru Yoshizumi will launch her new Chitose etc. manga in the next issue on September 5. The story centers on a girl named Chitose who lives on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa, and the Tokyo boy named Kōshō who Chitose adores. One day, Chitose decides to follow her heart, flee Okinawa, and transfer to Tokyo. The North American publisher Tokyopop translated the classic romance manga Marmalade Boy, and Viz Media published Yoshizumi’s Ultra Maniac manga. Tokyopop also released the Marmalade Boy television anime series on DVD, while Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. released the Ultra Maniac television anime series.

Sakura Yukimori and Noriko Ōtani will end their Ōji-sama Hiroimashita and Fine! manga, respectively, in the same 19th issue of Margaret.
