Nasu Theme Singer Kiyoshirou Imawano Passes Away

Veteran rock performer also acted in Katakuris, Great Yokai War, Sakuran

The veteran rock singer and actor Kiyoshirou Imawano died of lymphoma on Saturday. He was 58. Imawano debuted in the Japanese music industry as part of The RC Succession band, but later developed a solo career that lasted almost four decades. He performed the “Jitensha Show Uta” (Bicycle Show Song) ending theme for the Nasu: Summer in Andalusia anime movie. He also acted in two films by Yatterman and Crows Zero director Takashi Miike: Happiness of the Katakuris and The Great Yokai War. He later made a cameo in Mika Ninagawa’s live-action film adaptation of Moyoco Anno’s Sakuran manga.
